Get your school’s garden started early by planting seeds in eggshells indoors! Eggshells act as prefect seedling pots as they are small, cheap (free really if you eat eggs), are full of calcium to give the seedlings a boost and are easy to plant in the garden when ready (the shell can stay on!). LFS 250 students will take your class through the process of how to re-use eggshells for planting seedlings for your school’s garden and incorporate grade-level appropriate teachings about how seeds turn into seedlings and what they need to grow and survive.
