Bento boxes are a popular form of school lunches in Japan and have developed into a fun way to teach students about healthy eating and encouraging a willingness to try new types of food. Klara-Ben, or character bento, incorporates fun shapes and designs into school lunch in an easy to make and easy to transport format. Students will learn how to make a bento box following healthy meal guidelines that balance carbohydrates, protein, and fruits and vegetables while making creative designs.
